Approaching

It’s been around two months, and now I’m approaching 7th grade. It’s kind of scary, you know? They look so intimidating, those 7th and 8th graders. I’m going into the big hall, and I no longer share homeroom with my cousin. It goes to show that the word “Approaching” is scary. It’s the second level to change. I got my 7th grade shots yesterday. When I was told that I was going to get them, I could only think that they were coming. It was a scary moment because I was anticipating pain. Indeed, I got three shots and the arm that I got two shots on is still sore, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was.

What I mean to say is that the two words, Change and Approaching, seem scary, but they’re actually quite alright. I mean, imagine you’re awaiting to get on a roller coaster. It looks absolutely terrifying on the ground, but once your on the ride, it’s fun(ride with your eyes closed- I learned that it’s better to do that at SixFlags.).

You shouldn’t be afraid of what’s to come. It’s hard to, I know, I’m more or less convincing myself. If you’re approaching something scary now, like a parents divorce, a new school, or even a new classroom and grade, then just try and sweeten it. “A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down,”. One step at a time, y’know? It always seems better that way.
